Medicine Shoppe earns accreditation

TWO RIVERS — The Medicine Shoppe pharmacies in Two Rivers, 1500 Washington St. and 2219 Garfield St., have earned accreditation from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative.

The recognition is based on WPQC's 12 "best practices" criteria, including a continuous process to track and prevent medication errors and discussing new medication safety warnings with patients.

The two stores have been beta sites for WPQC's pay for performance project, which aims to create a pharmacy quality network that improves the quality of medication use and patient safety, while decreasing costs for patients.
